While our favorite is scrapbooking (layouts and cards), we venture into altering items, painting, decopage art, and much much more. We're always up for trying something new and for making our mark on the world. Hope you enjoy our projects and are able to draw lots of inspiration and make your own mark!

Snow day = Scrapbooking Day!!!

Wake up this morning to some major snow outside and lots of time one my hands sooooooo, I'm scrapbooking!  Had a few copic images colored up and ready to cut up so here are some quick cards I whipped up this morning.  Enjoy :)

The girl is a free digi stamp (have to find the site and will post when I do), the Birds and Frogs are acrylic stamps.  And of course all the sentiments are too.  As I said, quick and easy.  I can't wait to add these to the craft show.  Thanks for looking.

Homemade Valentines...

Every year my daughter has made her v-day cards to hand out.  Usually I just buy her some construction paper, let her pick out some stickers and she goes to town.  This year she wanted to learn how to use the cricut.  She has seen me use it and I've made her a lot of things to play with on it but now she thinks SHE needs to use it, hehe.  A crafter after my own heart.

It didn't take long she figured out which buttons to push.  My daughter is on the right, my niece on the left.

This was the crazy part of our crafting journey.  My niece just loved stamping so much, she stamped my table a few times, got the stamp upside down, and even stamped her own hand.  But she figured it out.  After all, she's only 4.

And here are the final product.  Simple and quick.  We made lots of extras for mistakes, and used each and every one of them.  I hope the kids in my daughters class likes them.  We used the Doodlecharms cartridge and a paper stack from Colorbook.  We cut the hearts at 3".  Stamped the front with "Won't you be mine?" and the backs with "To: & From:" I think it took us a little over an hour from start to finish.  So cute. And the girls had a blast.

Free Digi's!

Hey all, I just wanted to let you know about this awesome site I came across this week called Free Digi Stamps.  This lady finds all the free digi's available that week and posts them in one location.  I just love this.  As most of you know, I love to color, and I'm always looking for ways to save money.  FREE digi stamps are awesome.  So, check out Free Digi Stamps blog today and let me know what you think :)

On a Wednesday Afternoon.....

I just love this photo.  I took it at the Botanicle Gardens.  It's of my three kids and my grandmother (their great grandmother) and I just love it.  This was a bit of a challenge for me.  I knew what I wanted to do with this layout before I started, just didn't know what photo to use.  It was a last minute decision to use this one.  But I think it works beautifully.  This kit was from Walmart and I'm going to def be making more out of it this coming week.

A friend of mine just graduated from comotology school and she wanted to give her professor something with her favorite quote on it.  I whipped this up very quickly and love the simplicity of it.  I can definately see myself making a few more of them soon.

Challenge for Me

We've all heard and said it ourselves a thousand times.... "I have enough scrapbook supplies to open a store". Well, I'm in the same boat, and I'm not really in the position to buy anything right now. But when you see that really cute paper and that awesome new tool, you just can't help yourself. I really need to stop!!!
So I've challenged myself. The next big crop of mine is Feb 26th. I have a few blog hops between now and then and I'm really needing to use up what I have. Plus, I want to save some of my money so that I have some to really spend that weekend. Maybe I'll even be able to finally buy that Cuddlebug that I've really been wanting lately.
My challenge is simple.... for each project I make with using things only from my stash, I earn myself $ to spend. When I finish that particular project, I'll take the $ immediately and put it in my savings jar. So the price list is as follows....
Layouts $1
Cards $.25
Altered Project $2
Craft it Forward Completed Project $3
30 min of cleaning scrap space $2
This is just an idea, not sure if I'm gonna add anything in the future. And if Kori wants to join in on the fun, then YEAH! I'll be happy to have company.  Anyone else is welcome too.  I'm excited to get to scrapping now, because I'll be earning $ to spend on future projects! And hopefully by time the crop rolls around I will have completed all the "need to do's" and be able to spend some time on "want to do's".

A few cards I made today....

I got so much done today! Which considering that we took on a new puppy in our family today and having to still do the "mommy" thing, I'm actually quite pleased.  And I LOVE all these things I got done.  I have posted basic pics for all my projects but if you want details, please visit my blog Scrapaleupagus I have listed materials and basic how to.
