Welcome One and All

Welcome to our Blog! This is going to be so much fun! This blog is not limited to just one type of craft. While our favorite is scrapbooking (layouts and cards), we venture into altering items, painting, decopage art, and much much more. We're always up for trying something new and for making our mark on the world. Hope you enjoy our projects and are able to draw lots of inspiration and make your own mark!

Homemade Valentines...

Every year my daughter has made her v-day cards to hand out.  Usually I just buy her some construction paper, let her pick out some stickers and she goes to town.  This year she wanted to learn how to use the cricut.  She has seen me use it and I've made her a lot of things to play with on it but now she thinks SHE needs to use it, hehe.  A crafter after my own heart.

It didn't take long she figured out which buttons to push.  My daughter is on the right, my niece on the left.

This was the crazy part of our crafting journey.  My niece just loved stamping so much, she stamped my table a few times, got the stamp upside down, and even stamped her own hand.  But she figured it out.  After all, she's only 4.

And here are the final product.  Simple and quick.  We made lots of extras for mistakes, and used each and every one of them.  I hope the kids in my daughters class likes them.  We used the Doodlecharms cartridge and a paper stack from Colorbook.  We cut the hearts at 3".  Stamped the front with "Won't you be mine?" and the backs with "To: & From:" I think it took us a little over an hour from start to finish.  So cute. And the girls had a blast.

  2. My 5 year old niece and I made a couple Valentines yesterday for her parents and grandparents. She knows which buttons on my gypsy to click to be able to cut. I am gonna try to get them posted tomorrow - at the latest Tuesday.
